According to the UNESCO 2017 Report, about 80% of water is released back into the environment without adequate processing. The current wastewater treatment plants in India treat all kinds of wastewater in same way without segregating because of the single drainage system in the country irrespective of the type of waste.
The challenge is to design a new wastewater management system that separates different kinds of wastewaters and treats them differently (as in the case of garbage). With the vision, “to fulfil the sustainable goal of clean water and sanitation”, participants are expected to develop a model/prototype/simulation using any technology for waste water domains such as:
The participants are expected to come up with a model/prototype/simulation to support their proof of concept. The demonstrations should be accompanied by a presentation/slides not exceeding 10 minutes. The presentation should also include a business model canvas.
